Every texts that are pushed to your contact by your flow are customizable. When editing a step, you can directly click on the text field to change it.
Most of the texts will show "TEXT NEEDED" by default. It means no text is provided here by default, and you have to specify your own text.
Some will show a text by default, but you are still free to put your own text instead.
You can format your text using a simplified markdown very similar to Slack markdown.
To help you with this, the editable texts will show a few options to apply the correct syntax to get what you want:
Bold
Italic
Strikethrough
Code
Link
Variable insertion
Sometimes, you may have to repeat the same text at multiple places, even in different flows. It can make it hard to maintain such texts if you need to update them separately everytime.
Xeno conversation flows allows you link texts together so you can edit all occurrences at once. By default, when you change the text contained in a step, a new text is referenced. You can instead select one of the existing text suggested in the list on the left, if the inputed text is similar. Then, if you want to change both texts at once, you can head to the "Edit all occurrences" tab.
When you need to review your texts, or if someone else in your team is in charge of proofreading the text, you can list and edit all the texts available in all flows by opening the "Texts and translations" panel, using the button on the top left corner. It allows to go quickly through all texts without having to open the flows and search the texts in them.
Also, if you have linked texts together as explained in the section above, all occurrences will be edited.
By default, all the texts used in your flows should be in your brand language, specified in your brand settings. To make your flows available in other languages, you can use the "Texts and translations" panel to translate your texts in other languages.
This way, if a contact runs your flow, if the text corresponding to their browser's language exists, it will be shown to them in this language. Otherwise, the default text in your brand language will be displayed. In the Xeno inbox, you will always see the texts in your brand default language.
