Conversations in Xeno work like your typical messenger app. The Xeno app looks up each contact using the Identify function and automatically recognizes contacts that are saved in your database. With this, messages from a recognized contact are associated with their signed-in account.

However, if the chatbox is not deployed with the Identify function, it then cannot automatically recognize the user and considers it as an unknown contact. In this configuration, the conversation history can only be saved as cookies linked to the web browser and can only be accessed on the device it originally came from.
To draw a parallel: a user who disconnects from Linkedin will no longer have access to his Linkedin messages, it is the same behavior with the Xeno app.
