Can I continue a conversation by email?

At Xeno, we know how important it is for you to be in touch with your customers at all times. That’s why we have an amazing Email continuity feature, which allows you to continue chats, even once your contact has left a live conversation. 

If, for instance, a contact leaves the livechat before you had the chance to answer their question, you can simply send the message through Xeno anyway! If your contact’s email address is in the Xeno contacts (which is most of the time autofilled), they will receive your message directly in their email inbox.

Contacts can then reply to said emails (as with any other email) and, guess what?! You’ll receive their reply directly in their conversation on your %(brand_slack)! Easy-peasy right? 

To get your contacts’ email addresses, you can either use our identify function, that you’ll find on our Deploy page, or you can either ask them for their email address at the beginning of a chat, thanks to our Pre-chats feature, or simply ask your contact for their email address during the conversation.
